With ‘new localism’ high on the agendas of all political parties, a new report published this week by NLGN (and available free below) is calling upon government departments across Whitehall to embrace a radical new package of freedoms and fleiblities for local government and other local bodies. The report follows a recent Policy Summit, hosted by NLGN and involving key figures from across central and local government.
