NLGN lecture: ‘Real decentralisation: the denationalisation of local government’

With issues of decentralisation and talk of ‘localism’ shaping debates within both political and policy spheres alike, Mr Jenkin will discuss “the cycle of centralisation” and offer his view on why central government power should be reduced, and local government ‘denationalised’.
Sir Sandy Bruce-Lockhart, Leader of Kent County Council will then respond to the speech, after which there will be a Question and Answer session. The Chair for the event will be NLGN Director, Dan Corry.
