Launch Event: LAA Success
NLGN invites you to the launch of NLGN report – LAA Success: Delivering on the promise of joined up local services and improved local outcomes.
4.30pm arrival for 5.00pm-6.30pm, Tuesday 14 October 2008
3 Robert Street Conference Centre, 3 Robert Street, London WC2N 6RL
Supported by London Borough of Barking & Dagenham, Capgemini Consulting, IDeA, Gateshead Council, Kent County Council and Swindon Borough Council
LAAs have been heralded by some as the beginning of a new dawn for devolution, and symptons of a more productive relationship between central government and local delivery agencies. Councils have fought hard for their new found freedoms and flexibilities, and are working with their partners to ensure that LAAs deliver positive outcomes for those involved and, more importantly, for citizens and local communities.
As well as hearing the findings and recommendations of the LAA Success report, you will also hear from a panel of speakers including:
James Blake, Deputy Director, Local Area Agreements and Partnerships, LSPs and Performance and Practice Directorate, CLG
Anthony Brand, report author
Rachel Litherland, National Advisor – Partnerships, IDeA
David Walker, Managing Director of Communications and Public Reporting, Audit Commission
Chair: Chris Leslie, Director, NLGN
To reserve a place to attend the event please email RSVP@nlgn.org.uk as places are limited.
