Thomas Symons
Tom Symons joined NLGN as a Researcher in April 2009. His current research fields include Greenspace and parks service organisation and structure, and the impact this has on performance. His other research fields include housing policy and local authority finance and economic development. His publications include Capital Contingencies: local capital investment in an era of high public debt; What’s the verdict on local referendums? and most recently Don’t Let On: New measures to help tackle unlawful subletting.
Tom has previously worked as a Service Development Officer for Homes for Islington, having successfully completed a graduate scheme in local government. He holds a BA in Economics and Politics from the University of Exeter and a MA in Housing from the University of Westminster.
