This will be an in-depth and interactive learning event that will serve as the ideal forum for discussing the issues and challenges currently facing local authorities, primary care trusts and schools, in relation to safeguarding and children’s services.
Key questions to be addressed, through thought-provoking presentations, discussions and case studies include:
• What is the difference between safeguarding and children’s services and where is the line drawn when getting involved?
• Are Serious Case Reviews really the best ways to promote and monitor learning? What will the implications be if the findings are fully published?
• What level of risk to a child is acceptable and how can this be assessed?
