The report (kindly supported by British Gas) examines in detail the potential for expanding the new Green Deal household energy saving scheme in the social housing sector; allowing local authorities, RSLs and Housing Associations to play a central role in reaching Britain’s CO2 emissions target and lessening the threat of fuel poverty for their tenants.
The report will propose recommendations on:
- How the Green Deal will help to meet the Government’s target to reduce carbon emissions
- The vital role of social housing stock and social landlords in delivering the Green Deal
- The overarching strategic role local authorities and other social landlords can play in delivering the Green Deal
