Liam Scott-Smith

Liam is Head of External Affairs at the New Local Government Network and is responsible for managing NLGN’s relationships with our Innovation Network of local authorities and for liaising with central government.

Prior to this Liam was Political Affairs Exec at City & Guilds of London Institute for a short while where he was responsible for managing the organisations political engagement and has previously worked for NLGN in the Networks team where he co-authored the report Control, Alt, Delete? A analysis of Conservative Proposals for Local Government (2009).

Liam is an experienced political campaigner and has previously worked in parliament. He is also one of the founders of the campaigns group Bright Blue. He graduated from Loughborough University in 2007 with a BA in Politics and Social Policy.
