Philip Baker
Phil is the communications manager with NLGN. It he oversees NLGN’s engagement with the press to ensure the organisation’s research, forums and reports have the maximum impact on the discussion currently taking place regarding the future of local government.
Previously he has worked as a freelance journalist and has also spent seven years producing large events, summits and other discussion forums for a range of companies, including EMAP Networks, Govnet Communications and internationally, with the Commonwealth. Beyond this, he managed programmes with a range of non-governmental organisations, both here and in India. Politically, he has been highly active, campaigning in and around London and chairing an award-winning local party association. He holds a master’s degree in international relations from Warwick University.
