Consumer trends are regularly used by private sector organisations to predict and alter consumer behaviour, gain new insight and create products and services for new markets. How can the public sector better use trend data, whether to inform public service design, develop democratic engagement or set up spin off companies? Focusing on the theme of ‘technology’, this event will explore the ways in which innovative and cutting edge companies use and analyse trend data, and spark some thinking in the ways local government might use these approaches in their own organisations.
Confirmed speaker: David Coplin, Chief Envisioning Officer at Microsoft will be speaking at this event. (If you want to know what a ‘Chief Envisioning Officer’ is, then you can watch a short video of David here).
