The NLGN Annual Conference is one of the first local government gatherings of the year and is the perfect opportunity to network, discuss and learn with peers from across the sector. The Conference is a key highlight of the local government calendar with last year’s event attracting over 150 Chief Executives, Directors, Leaders, policy makers and senior executives from public, private and third sector organisations.
This year, the conference will focus on advancing the cause of local government in the 2014 and 2015 manifesto processes. This is the ideal opportunity for the most influential voices in local government to gather together and set the agenda for the forthcoming vital political year.
Speakers include Rt Hon Danny Alexander MP, Chief Secretary to the Treasury; Leader of the Labour manifesto process Jon Cruddas MP and a leading Conservative (TBA) who will outline what they expect to see as their party’s offers on the localism and local government agenda for the 2014 local elections and going into the 2015 general election.
We will be holding sessions exploring innovation in service provision and leadership through change as well as exploring the difficult decisions council must face in the coming years. As always, the NLGN conference will set the agenda for local government thinking for the coming year.
Held in the extraordinary surroundings of the Magic Circle, 12 Stephenson Way, London NW1 2HD (3 minute walk from Euston station), this will be the perfect occasion to network with peers and hear the best and brightest in local government share ideas and innovation.
