Breaking Barriers, Crossing Boundaries

Supported by:

This roundtable will bring together up to 20 senior executives across local authorities, specialists in the property and engineering field, leaders of cross-local and government partnerships to explore how barriers to joint ventures and partnerships can be removed – and what the potential for cross-boundary working in local government is.

Speakers will include:

Dan Gascoyne
Director, West London Alliance
Bob Clarke
Executive Director, Jacobs.

Thinking around partnerships and shared services in local government has traditionally focused on the merging of back office functions and services. This roundtable seeks to take such thinking one step further – by exploring how infrastructure projects that impact across borough boundaries can also be best served through partnerships and what the opportunities are for joint working in this area.

The roundtable will identify:

  • The potential and opportunities for partnership work in this area
  • Cultural and structural barriers to partnership working in this area
  • Examples of best practice, as well as a candid exploration of the current environment and areas for improvement.

This event will be hosted in a Chatham House rules environment, and will lunch will be served shortly after.
