Children’s Services: Transforming Children’s Life Chances

The transformation of children’s life chances has been a priority for successive governments and change continues to take place with the proposed introduction of the Children’s and Families Act 2013-2014. There are numerous opportunities for innovation in children’s services – as well as barriers to innovation. This event will bring together chief executives, senior local authority officers and specialists in children’s services to explore those opportunities, barriers, as well as how they can be best overcome. It will enable the local government family to share learning and support each other through a complex and difficult period of change.
