It is fact that the health and social care system is under enormous strain, particularly the strain on services coming from an aging population. There is a general consensus that integration between health and social care is the future of the sector and can help ensure its sustainability.
However while many local authorities make moves towards integrating the two, there are still some gaps between acute healthcare and social care.
At this dinner we will consider the role of collaboration with social enterprises and the private sector in delivering sustainable solutions that operate to fill the gap between health and care, such as health hotels and place based health services.
