Join NLGN at an intimate lunch in the spectacular and exclusive Sky Garden at the top of London’s walkie talkie building to redefine the meaning of efficiency in a climate of transformation.
Local government is in an age of transformation. We are increasingly looking at new ways of achieving our outcomes and it seems a long time ago that we last talked about simply making efficiencies to save money. Salami slicing budgets now seems somewhat outdated, but we know that more cuts will come and more money will have to be saved. How then can we understand the role of efficiency in a local government world focused on outcomes? And how local authorities ensure they have a detailed understanding of how their budgets play out into frontline services?
Speakers include Keir Lynch, Executive Director for Strategy, Transformation and Commissioning at Essex County Council.
