The roundtable will be addressed by Kevin Lee, Special Advisor to Andy Burnham MP, Shadow Secretary of State for Health.
Health and social care sectors are facing an unprecedented challenge. Providing better quality care with improved outcomes whilst coping with demographic pressures and shifting focus to early intervention has put strain on local government as well as the NHS. Initiatives such as passing control of public health to local government and the creation of the Better Care Fund aim to help the sectors cope with their challenges, but in the run up to the general election health and social care professionals will continue to ‘ask what more can be done?’ around these strategic challenges.
During this timely roundtable, key opposition health advisor Kevin Lee will join us to discuss the Labour Party’s narrative around health and social care in the upcoming election year and what this will mean for local government and the NHS.
