With the referendum on exiting the EU drawing near, NLGN are holding an event to analyse the implications of Brexit for local authorities across the country.
In the event of Britain exiting the EU, local government will encounter a range of new challenges and fresh opportunities. This event will feature in-depth analysis from expert commentators on the post-Brexit landscape and serve as a relaxed environment to discuss the implications.
We will focus on the economic, social and democratic impact on local government. How would the loss of EU funding affect the regeneration of UK cities and local authority projects? Would there be any substantial impact on the application of EU legislation in the UK? This is not a pro or anti event – we expect both positive and negative implications of Brexit to emerge.
