NLGN are currently researching national and international initiatives to increase productivity in local public services such as social care (more info about this research can be found HERE). At a time when local government needs to find inventive ways to squeeze more impact out of every pound, more needs to be done to tackle councils’ low productivity. This interactive workshop will explore how innovative examples of productivity from the UK and beyond can be practically applied by councils to improve productivity in public services.

At this workshop, we will be testing these creative schemes in a local context. For example, an app created by a care home in South London for staff to coordinate with residents’ care plans. This has both improved data confidentiality and enhanced communication with the residents’ families. Together, we will examine how these inventive solutions could be realistically applied in your local authority.

This workshop provides a fantastic opportunity to network and share ideas with peers, it is free to attend and lunch will be served.
