The UK’s low productivity presents a national challenge and is high on the Government’s agenda. The impact of low productivity is felt locally but the issue is approached nationally. Devolution provides a novel opportunity to tackle this ‘productivity puzzle’. New powers over skills, employment support, and infrastructure means it’s now possible to improve productivity at a local level.

The report provides a practical framework for improving productivity locally, and sets out what new powers should be devolved so that local government is able to increase the productivity of both people and places.

The launch will include a presentation of the report’s findings and recommendations, as well as responses from key stakeholders. This is great opportunity to network with peers over an intimate breakfast. All attendees will receive a free copy of the report.
