Whole Systems Commissioning: Developing new relationships between local government and VCS

Kindly supported by:

NLGN and the Lankelly Chase Foundation are launching our latest report into the possibility of whole systems commissioning.

The report aims to give practical solutions and recommendations to the challenges that whole systems commissioning brings and will examine the relationship between local authorities and the voluntary and community sector (VCS) in commissioning and providing services.

As councils change from being primarily grant-givers to commissioners of services, and as many councils are beginning to pare back services to statutory level, this brings about fundamental change in the relationship between local authorities and the VCS. In many cases the conversations are stuck and the voices of service users have been entirely left out.

The launch will include a presentation of the report’s findings and recommendations, as well as responses from key stakeholders.

All attendees will receive a free copy of the report. Refreshments and a light lunch will be served, providing a great opportunity for networking with peers.
