Resilient Britain

COVID-19 has revealed frailties of all types in this country. Whether it was a lack of PPE, a lack of hospital capacity, or our inability to set up a functioning test-and-trace system in a timely manner – the pandemic has shown quite how many British systems struggle in times of crisis.
Addressing this means creating resilience.

Future shocks of one kind or other are inevitable. We must rebuild our systems, our infrastructure and our way of life so that they can withstand disruption. When the next global crisis hits, Britain cannot end up at the bottom of lists comparing impacts between nations. We must do better, and doing better means putting resilience at the forefront of everything we do.

In order to uncover how this can be done in practice, NLGN are working in partnership with Local Trust on a project called Resilient Britain.
