NLGN is a unique organisation, bringing together innovative policy makers, politicians and professional managers from across the public and private sectors to experiment with new ideas, share learning and influence the shape of public policy across all levels of government.

Our relationship with our partners helps give us the legitimacy to enter a wide range of debates and speak knowledgeably from a variety of perspectives. They add value to our voice, enabling NLGN to punch above its weight and push the boundaries of thought and action to a multitude of audiences: central government, local government and other stakeholder organisations. We also learn a huge amount from our partners, which continuously informs our work at all levels.

London Borough of Lewisham

“The London Borough of Lewisham has endeavored to be at the sharp end of change and improvement in local government for the last two decades. Joining the NLGN Innovation Network was therefore a natural step for us. It provides both hard information through its research programme but as importantly it gives both members and officers the opportunity to meet both with colleagues from local government as well as individuals from both public and private sectors who share our interest in innovative approaches. It offers excellent value and genuine benefits.”
