Charlotte Morgan Senior Policy Researcher

Charlotte joined as a Policy Researcher in April 2018. She leads NLGN’s research on devolution and local economic growth.

She was previously employed by Cornwall Council as a graduate policy officer on the LGA’s ngdp scheme. Her role involved undertaking research to shape Cornwall’s response to Brexit, reporting on the implementation of the 2015 Cornwall Devolution Deal and helping to develop proposals for further devolution from Whitehall to Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly. She has also worked as a researcher at newsdirect wales, leading on the company’s Westminster political monitoring services and specialising in local government reform, devolved taxes, media and culture.

Charlotte has a MSc in Social Science Research Methods from Cardiff University and a BA in Modern Languages from the University of Oxford. She is from Cardiff, which is home to the oldest record store in the world and the place where Torchwood’s HQ was based (Doctor Who reference).
